Van Gogh painted Irises while staying in the asylum at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

He was dealing with severe mental distress, and painting became a stabilising routine for him—something to return to when everything felt too heavy or too loud inside.

There is something familiar in that. The feeling of being surrounded by too much—thoughts, pressure, expectation—and still having to keep moving through it.

The irises don’t sit still in the vase. They push outward, filling every space, as if they cannot stay contained. Not because something is wrong, but because they are full.

We recreated his work as a way of expressing that Noise is not always sound. Sometimes it is the feeling of your mind moving faster than your life can slow down. Or the sense of carrying more than you can explain.

This piece is about a moment many people recognise but rarely name—being overwhelmed, yet still present. Still functioning. Still moving forward.

Not breaking. Just full.
